Anime Faun Bili - kid friendly version

This is my first attempt at Anime style.

Name: Bili (pronounced, "BeeRee" or "BeeLee")
Race: Goat-man from a world of anthropomorphic animals.
Profession: Native herbalist and outdoorsman, minor tinkerer. Potential sidekick and comedy relief character for the Sailor Guardians.

Disadvantages: Bili has Attention Deficit Disorder, so his mind wanders, looking for anything of interest. But, when a new problem, recipe, potion, or toy catches his attention, he becomes so fixated on it that he cannot get it off of his mind until he solves it or tries it. He might even lose all track of time and his surroundings. In a sense, all his advantages arise from this disorder as well.

Advantages and skills:
Bili has a natural talent for correctly guessing what magical and mundane properties a plant or mineral has, after he has inspected it. This talent makes him an excellent cook, and helps him to brew magical potions, (helpful, harmful, and entertaining).
Bili has good physical endurance and athleticism.
Bili has a spatial reasoning talent which helps him from getting lost when exploring the wilderness of new lands.

Quirks: Bili (like everyone in his home village) ascribes to the superstition that men are naturally better at snap decisions and quick acting than women, and women are naturally better at long-term strategy than men, so he expects the females of any group to decide the best course of action without interference by the males, then once the plan is decided, he expects the males to enact the plan quickly and efficiently without interference by the females.

Personality: He considers any stranger to be a loyal friend he just hasn't met yet, unless they prove otherwise.
He greatly enjoys seeing new landscapes as well as a good sunset or any view of natural beauty.

Gimmick: Bili always wears a cloth headband with 5 sewn pockets that can hold vials of useful fluids and magical potions he has brewed such as potions to heal injuries or cure diseases, or lotions to repel insects. He is quite bright but does not think big, so the potions are merely convenient and helpful in his hands. However it is possible that when all seems lost, one of the Sailor Senshi suddenly might realize how she can use one of his potions to save the day.

Combat: In a fight, he would use his hooves and fists better than any weapon that he has yet found, and he can forehead-butt most opponents with his horns. His skull is quite thick and all his bones grew stout from the farm-fresh milk his mother made him drink every day.

Background:
On Bili's home planet of Lyle55, (pronounced, "Rie-Ree-Go-Go") almost all intelligent creatures are an anthropomorphic blend of human features mixed with the features of one non-sentient animal, or plant, or element of nature.

In Bili's village, most of the men are goat-men or deer-men, and most of the women are sunshine-nymphs or tree-nymphs, with the occasional butterfly-nymph. All the nymphs of Bili's village are able to shift freely into a completely human form and into a completely non-human form, except a handful of them. On the other hand, all the men (except one in a generation) are unable to shift without first drinking a special brewed magical potion, which only gives them the ability temporarily. No one knows why the difference except to blame it on genetics and accept it.

This village of fauns and nymphs lies in an idyllic sylvan glade with no lack of edible fruits, nuts, and vegetables. They live as one group sharing the seemingly unlimited resources. Since food and materials are so plentiful, knowledge and skills are the only valued possessions, and those are multiplied by the sharing, so no one sees any need to keep useful information a secret. In fact, teaching is considered the most important profession.

They have developed a great knowledge of chemistry and mechanical engineering. They build Swiss-Family-Robinson-style inventions for convenience. Also, they know many herbal potions to protect against sunburn, to help healing, to keep warm or cool, to repel insects, and even potions that allow a faun to shift like a nymph can, but all of the potions are only temporary.

Children are raised by their mother who seldom keeps track of which man is which's child's biological father, but as they grow, children spend time with whichever adult shares the most similar personality.
All of the tribe adults love to teach what they know to any interested younglings, regardless of who's biological child they are. Plus, they all share similar ideas about life and proper civilized behavior.
